Adam Corrie Townsend

Adam Corrie Townsend, 35, passed away much too soon at his home in Coeur d’Alene. He is at peace and free from pain. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Adam was born to Debora and David Townsend on Aug. 22, 1989, in Spearfish, S.D. He moved with his family to Coeur d’Alene in 1990. Growing up, Adam enjoyed beachcombing and looking for good sticks with his Mom and Dad at North Idaho lakes and on the Oregon Coast.

At age 7 he was a Tiger Cub and then a Cub Scout and then a Boy Scout in Troop 202. He enjoyed summer camps at Camp Easton and Camp Cowles as well as special summer camps at Camp Meriwether near Tillamook, Ore., and on the shore of Fernan Lake.

Adam attended Christ the King Preschool, Bryan Elementary, Lakes Middle School, and Lake City High School, where he played in the band and was a member of a gaming club.

He enjoyed music, movies, video games, and getting together with his friends to play cards. He liked jokes, good and bad. He loved his Mom and Dad.

He is survived by his parents, his uncles and aunts, Bill and Barbara Townsend, and Cindy and Steve Michael, great-uncle and great-aunt Herb and Connie Townsend, and cousins in Wyoming, Montana, and New York. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Philip and Loree Fesenmyer, and J.L. and Bonnie Townsend.

There will be no services, but a memorial gathering will be held at a later date. The English Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

David and Deb recommend donations in Adam’s name to organizations serving the mental health needs of young adults.
