My sweet brother, Albert Pratcavage, passed away May 1, 2017. He was loving, kind, and giving to everyone. Albert loved animals, art, music, and he volunteered at the Whittier Senior Center in California for 20 years. While Albert did have a disability, he never let it hold him down. He was unable to work a traditional job, but he managed to keep busy. Albert believed in keeping busy. He had a fear of traveling, and he always wanted to know more people on the reservation, and his Lithuanian relatives in Pennsylvania, but he just couldn’t connect.
He spent his last year in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with the assistance of nursing staff. While there, he made friends, and even started a cooking class. Albert loved all the friendly people he could meet.
Albert’s family includes Vibiana Pratcavage, James Baylie Pratcavage, Juliana SiJohn, and the whole reservation of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
“My sweet, sweet brother, I love you so much and my heart will ache for the rest of my life.” – Vibiana
