Ann Eilmes

Our beloved mom and nanny passed away at her home in Post Falls on November 28th, 2023, with her family by her side.

Ann was born on March 18, 1933, to Norman and Mildred Freudenberger of Wenatchee, Washington. She was the 3rd of eight children. She attended Schools in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1951. Ann went to work for General Telephone in Wenatchee where she met and married John Eilmes, they had 2 children, Steve and Connie.

John’s job with General Telephone took them to varies areas in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho before finally making Post Falls their forever home. They then purchased Flowers by Paul in Post Falls and have operated it as a family business ever since then.

Ann was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ann was known as “nanny” to everyone who knew her. Ann was a huge Gonzaga Basketball fan and never missed a game. Go Zags!

Ann was preceded in death by her husband John, son Steve, Parents Norman, and Mildred Freudenberger, brothers Joe and Glenn and her sisters Louise and Marie.

Ann is survived by her sisters Alice and Frances, brother Carl, daughter Connie, former son-in-law, David. The grandchildren and their spouses Amanda (Jason), Ryan (Lester), Anthony, Christopher (Nicole), Dominic, Maria (Shauna), Peter (Abbie), Meghan (Steven), Caitlin and Erik. Great-grandchildren Dante and Jake. Step- great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Celeste and Robert.

We will love you always and forever nanny.

We would especially like to thank Serena Cogburn and Tonya Freeman for their love and tender care of nanny. We would also like to thank Eden Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
