Barbara Hemphill

Barbara Kay Hemphill born October 21, 1937, went to be in the loving arms of the Lord on December 25th, 2017. She passed peacefully at Valley Vista in Sandpoint, Idaho where she recieved exeptional and loving care from their staff. Barbara was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Phillip and Hazel Alexander. Barbara, widowed, was married to Edward Hemphill until his death in 2005. She loved Edward dearly and was an exeptional caregiver to him. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother George W. Alexander. She has a living sister, Brandi, whom she loved dearly.

Barbara is survived by 5 beautiful children (3 girls and 2 boys). She has 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, neices and nephews. Barbara loved to knit and sew and had many projects she had hoped to accomplish for her family.

Barbara made so many friends over a warm cup of coffee and will be missed dearly. In lieu of flowers please simply thank a caregiver, a nurse or nurse assistant. They touch the hearts of so many they encounter and are truly angels in disguise.
