Carl Glidden
Carl Richard Glidden, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, was born April 6, 1941, and was called to heaven Dec. 1, 2016, at Kootenai Health. During dad’s life, he had done so many things, Volunteer EMT, Reserve Police Officer, retiring from Idaho Forest Industries after more than 40 years.
Carl was preceded in death by the love of his life, Charlotte Glidden; nephew Richard Glidden and his best friend, Gary Johnson. He was an amazing brother, father, husband, uncle, friend and grandfather.
Loved by so many people, always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. A dad to so many of our friends growing up. He loved fishing, camping, hunting and riding motorcycles.
Life will not be the same with him not in it. But we all know he and mom are watching over all of us, finally together again.
He is survived by his sister, Maryann Glidden; his brother, Bill Glidden; his sons, Gale Glidden, Josh Glidden and Chris Murphy; daughters Sue Murphy, Elizabeth Glidden, Kim Campbell and Kimber Glidden; grandkids Troy, Kimmy, Tiffany, Casey, Tara, Josh, Tyler, Alisha, Tom, Tasha, Grant, Jack and Lucas; great-grandson Blake Glidden; and nieces and nephews Angie Ragsdale and Michael Glidden.
Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
