Carl Kimbley

Carl Wayne Kimbley, age 85, passed away at home in Coeur d’Alene, ID, on August 12, 2017.

Carl was born in Hazelton, ID, on September 4, 1931, to Carl R. and Edna R. (Nation) Kimbley. He was raised in La Grande, OR and moved to Bremerton, WA in 1942. In November of 1950, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired September 1, 1971, as a Master Sergeant. Carl then moved to Golden, Co, in 1973 and to Coeur d’Alene, ID, in 1987.

Carl married Marjorie Gant on May 4, 1952 in Coeur d’Alene, ID.

Carl was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church in Coeur d’Alene. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his 5 children: Steven Kimbley of Colorado, Douglas Kimbley of Alaska, Cheryl Delany of Missouri, Tammy Bentley of Colorado, and Brenda Kimbley of Coeur d’Alene, ID; sister Clara Bowyer; Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Carl is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie in 2008, daughter Carol Kimbley in 2008, father Carl in 1978, mother Edna in 1948, brother Thomas Kimbley, sister Hazel Evetts and sister Leatha Evetts.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. before the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday August 18, 2017, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d’Alene, ID. Burial with Military Honors will follow the service at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
