Casimer Marcinkowski

Casimer B. Marcinkowski (92) of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away at home on September 24, 2017. He was born June 2, 1925 to Xavier and Petronela Marcinkowski in Detroit, Michigan; he was one of five children. Casimer was known to his friends and family as “Ski”.

Ski had the distinction of serving in three branches of the United States Military; the US Marine Corps., the US Army/Airforce, and then the US Air Force. He served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force in 1970 after 26 years of service.

Ski is survived by his dear wife, Margene, of Post Falls, Idaho; brother: Marion (Bettie) of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Vicky Whitinger of Lewiston, Idaho; a son, Kenneth Summers (Sara) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-children: Donna Gene Barracker (Michael), Bernice Ann Dixon (Randy), Bryan Coombs (Pamela); as well as 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held in Ski’s honor on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Ski’s name.
