Claudia Jean Dixon-Pryor, 73
Claudia Jean Dixon-Pryor, 73, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on February 3, 2019. Claudia was born September 6, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Robert Elton Dixon, and Helen June Rockwell. She moved to Coeur d'Alene with her family in 1958, attending IHM academy and graduating with the class of 1962.
Claudia met the love of her life, Theo Pryor, in 1972 while they were working together in Las Vegas. Claudia and Theo married on September 1, 1990, and they shared a total of 47 years of their lives together. Throughout her life, Claudia had many employers including, Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, The Coeur d'Alene Press, Coeur d'Alene fire department, Coldwater Creek, GTE and Center Partners. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, attending and serving at church, crocheting, playing cards and board games, spending time with her husband, fur babies, and many nieces and nephews. Claudia loved the holidays and birthdays and always took tremendous time and effort to make sure that everyone in her life was celebrated, on each and every occasion. She took her beloved nieces on numerous vacations, gifting them with unforgettable and priceless experiences and memories. One of her greatest joys in life was to give to others, and she was incredibly generous and loving. Her willingness to be the first person to help her family and friends whenever they needed was a testament to her unselfish and giving heart.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Theo; stepson, Thomas; granddaughter, Audrey; sisters: Diane Horton and Christy Moore; nieces: Wendy Behrend, Jillian Nolan, Jennifer Moore and Stephanie Fischer; numerous grand-nieces and nephews; and her beloved fur-child, Dapper, who was next to her side when she passed away.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 at St. Georges Catholic church: 2010 N Lucas St, Post Falls, ID 83854. A Celebration of her life will follow with a luncheon in the fellowship hall.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Kootenai Humane Society in Claudia's honor would be greatly appreciated.
