Connie went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 17, 2018, peacefully in her sleep. She was surrounded by many friends and family in her last days.
Connie was born in Tacoma, Wash., on Dec. 23, 1942 to Willard and Nina Combs. After the war Connie’s family returned to Idaho where she lived the rest of her life. Connie was married to Ernest S. Combs from May 1966 until his death in 1991. She then hit her second teenage years and headed out on many adventures, traveling with friends and family. Connie had an adventurous spirit, a strong thirst for knowledge, a mischievous sense of humor and a heart of gold. She was loved and respected by many because she gave so much love herself. Throughout her life, Connie demonstrated incredible strength in caring for her family through hard times as well as her courageous battle with cancer. Through it all she drew strength, comfort and wisdom through her rock solid faith in Jesus.
Connie is survived by her sister, Eva Jean Hartvigson; her children, David and Laura Combs, Paul and Pam Combs, Connie and Darrell Payton, and Doug and Janell Combs; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a large extended family and countless friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Real Life Ministries.
