David Samuel Archuleta

Born in Saguache, Colorado on November 3, 1938

David S. Archuleta passed away peacefully on November 12, 2023. He was 85.
David’s religion was Seventh Day Adventist. David served as a Chaplain in the Bonner County
Jail for 2 years in Sandpoint. David would often attend Bible studies and was always willing to
help those in need, even to the extent of shoveling snow for the neighbors. Naturally, David was
a friend to everyone.

David Archuleta leaves behind his loving wife of 5 years, Barbara Nelson Archuleta. David’s
parents were Raymond and Corina Archuleta. His siblings were Gloria McLean, Robert
Archuleta, Ursula Schopp and Elona Archuleta. His children are Tracy Davidson, Micki
Archuleta, Mark Hall, Tarue David Archuleta (deceased), Bob Pitts, Lisa Archuleta Ivany, Sheila
Hart, Tammy Vallejos, and Jesse Archuleta. His grandchildren are Eden and Joshua Archuleta
(Lisa); Lexi and Ryan Hart (Sheila); Mircadez Miranda, Megan, Dalton, Justin, and Brandon
Vallejos (Tammy); Faith, Eve, and Hazel Archuleta (Jesse).

Other close family members: Butch, Patricia and Matilda and Sharon Rose Velasquez (cousins);
Larry Vallejos (son-in-law); David Rice (brother-in-law); Reina Smith (niece), Lewis Rice
(nephew); Linda Flores-Nolasco (niece); Charlene Hudson (niece); Mario Flores (nephew).
A Memorial Service for David is scheduled for Sunday December 10 at 11am at Seventh Day
Adventist Church in Sandpoint.
