After graduating from Harrison High School, he served in the United States Army.
David married Barbara Fleenor on July 5, 1952 in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
David enjoyed woodworking and outdoor activities.
He is survived by his son Michael and wife Donna Fandry, sister Doris Peterson, as well as his 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, daughter Kathleen Rigoli, brother Don Fandry, sister Betty Duft.
At his request no services will be held.
