Diana Lyn Maidhoff (Tracy)
July 5, 1955 – April 7, 2025
Diana Lyn Maidhoff, born July 5, 1955, in Great Falls, Montana, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of Vern and Rita Tracy, whose strength, compassion, and determination shaped the woman she became.
Diana was married to her best friend and soulmate, Daniel Maidhoff, for 40 wonderful years. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, raising five children who were the pride and joy of her life. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and what she was most proud of.
Diana loved her family fiercely. Some of her happiest times were spent camping, playing games, or simply being surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and siblings. She had a special gift for making everyone feel like family—her door was always open, her heart even more so. That welcoming, compassionate spirit lives on in her children.
In her retirement, Diana became a BINGO caller twice a week, combining her love of the game with her love of community. She enjoyed cards and dice games—especially when a little money was involved—and she loved to win. Her competitive spark and joy for life were contagious.
Diana first faced cancer in 2020 and came out victorious, living the next four and a half years to the fullest. When the cancer returned in 2024, she met it with the same bravery and determination. She remained positive and present for as long as she possibly could, an enduring source of strength and light for everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her father Vern Tracy, her mother Rita Tracy, and her brother Greg Tracy.
She is survived by her loving husband Daniel Maidhoff of Hayden, Idaho; her children: Cliff and Holly Tucker of Colville, Washington, Jenny and Justin Collier of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mandy and Jason Thueson of Nampa, Idaho, Danelle and Jeff Rhoads of Spokane, Washington, and Adam and Amanda Maidhoff of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; her siblings: Mike and Julie of Chatteroy, Washington, Vicki and Brian of Northport, Washington, Terry and Cheri of Kettle Falls, Washington, Pam and Larry, of Spokane, Washington, Paul and Phyllis of Kettle Falls, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Carson and Haley Collier, Ashlyn and Bryce Artis (all of Las Vegas), Hailee Rhoads (Spokane), Colt Tucker, Brenner Johndrow, Ryan Zema (Colville), Cassie Martin (Idaho) and Gracie and Hudson Maidhoff (Coeur D'Alene), along with extended family and countless friends who were lucky enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Greyhound Bingo Hall, a place close to Diana’s heart. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
Diana’s positive spirit, endless love, and fierce devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and deep compassion.
