The trumpets sound as we bid farewell to our loved one.
At 97 years old, Donald Daniel Nestor succumbed to Covid-19 virus.
Family, relatives, friends will miss his humor, resilience & caring heart.
Survived by his loving wife, daughters, sons, grandchildren & great grandchildren,
are left with sweet memories. He outlived all his family members.
As a young boy music touched his soul, being in a marching band & playing his trumpet
In his uncle’s band. He delighted in serenading with his trumpet to his children at night,
when they were young. He was a hard working salesman, owned his own dry cleaning store,
Don’s Cleaners. He served with the RCAF. He loved to travel, taught us to enjoy the outdoors,
Nature, loved family vacations. Had fun skiing, skating and tobogganing with the kids.
He looked forward to golf and baseball on T.V. Some of his hobbies included: Playing cards, curling,
Bowling, golfing and singing in the church choir. He remained tall, handsome and thin even though
He had a voracious appetite. Often joking, “Where does he put all this food?”!!!
As the trumpets blow, we bid you adieu (Gone Fishing).
He will reside at Kern River Valley Cemetery District, Wofford Hts, CA.
Should-ah, Could-ah, Would-ah, Oops! Forgot to put this on his epitaph.
