Dorothy passed away peacefully at home at The Grove (Heritage Place) on May 6th 2017. Dorothy was born in Indianola, Iowa and lived in various parts of the country until she relocated to Coeur d’Alene after her husband passed away, 13 years ago. She moved into Heritage place not long after coming here and where she lived until her death. She leaves behind many friends there with the residents and employees.
Dorothy loved to fish and hunt in her earlier years. She enjoyed more than anything being a mother, a grandma then later being a great-grandma. She also enjoyed crocheting and her beautiful afghan’s will bring us warmth and comfort as we remember her in the years to come.
She is survived by 3 daughters Denise Downs, Donna Minter and Doreen Porter. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a very special friend, Paul. She looked forward to spending her day with Paul and going to the casino together. Theirs was special friendship that we should all be so lucky to have later in our lifetime.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 13, 2017 at The Grove 702 W. Walnut Ave, CDA.
