Edward Peter Jacquot, 76

Edward Peter Jacquot was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Logan, Utah, to Arthur C. Jacquot Sr. and Elizabeth Colpitts Jacquot. He passed away Feb. 20, 2017, in Roseburg, Ore. He was the third son of five children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Elizabeth; his brothers, Elmer and Charles; and his sister, Emily Bakie. He is survived by his brother, Richard.

Ed was married June 9, 1963, to Marlene Barnum in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They have two daughters: Susan Corder (Steven) and Sandra Jacquot. Their granddaughters are Caitlyn (Trevor) Moore and Kelsey Corder.

Ed graduated from Rathdrum High School, attended North Idaho College, and then graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education. He taught business classes at Glide High School in Oregon for 32 years. He coached basketball at Glide High School and also helped with other sports and events.

During summer vacations from teaching, he worked on the family farm in Hayden, Idaho, where they grew bluegrass, wheat, oats and other grains. He enjoyed jogging, golf, water skiing, swimming and boating with friends and family. He held a private pilot license and flew small planes in Roseburg. In retirement he continued to work on the family farm, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Internment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
