Floyd Richard Flowers passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Almont, North Dakota to Truman and Mary Flowers.

Floyd grew up during the Great Depression in North Dakota and at the age of 16, He married Edna Fode on May 27, 1946. They had one daughter Bernice Ann Flowers (Conley).

In August of 1951, Floyd entered the Marine Corps during which he was active for the Korean War. Upon discharge, Floyd began working for the Oceanside Police Department in California where he retired as detective in 1972.

Floyd stayed active in the Law enforcement for 55 years including: Instruction of Officer Training at Montana Law Enforcement Academy, being a DTC Communications Sales Representative, and also being active in many local law enforcement agencies

Floyd and Edna later moved to Idaho and purchased Beauty Bay Resort, which they ran together until Edna’s passing in September of 1994.

Floyd remarried on September 19, 1995 to Bobby Fox. Together they enjoyed traveling in their RV until Bobby’s passing on in July of 2009.

Floyd is survived by Granddaughters: Denise Hobbs of Spokane, Washington., Tammy Doolittle of Soldotna, Alaska., Jenny Zogg at LaPine, Oregon., and Great Grandchildren: Devon Hobbs, Jason Hobbs, Roberts Zogg

A Funeral Service in Floyd's honor will be held on Saturday June 22nd, 2019 at 11:30 at English Funeral Chapel 1133 N. 4th St. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814.  A Graveside service will be held Monday June 24, 2019 1 p.m. at the Fort Lincoln Veterans Cemetery in Mandan N.D.
