Frank Fleming

Frank was born the second of four children to Archie and Geraldine Fleming in Huntington Park, CA in December 1949. He attended school at St. Matthias and St. Don Bosco Tech. He graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Frank was hired by the City of Anaheim in September 1973 as a Patrolman and retired in July 2001 as the City’s first Deputy Chief of Police. Frank was also proud to call himself a Marine. Frank enjoyed woodworking and building, restoring old cars, NASCAR and watching Gonzaga basketball. He also enjoyed camping and traveling across the country visiting friends, family and seeing our beautiful country. Frank was called home to his Heavenly Father on Nov. 3 following a brain tumor diagnosis in September of 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Geraldine along with his Father-in-Law Richard Fillman. He leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Linda (aka Sam), Sisters: Beth (Tom) Ordway; Kay (Tom) Sharp; Brother: Harry (Frances) Fleming; Cousin: Francis (Sheryl) Kane; Sister-in-Law Nancee Dole: Mother-in-Law Betty Fillman; Aunt Lucille Graves and numerous brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nephews, family and friends. His dog Barni and kitties Misty and Purrl also mourn his loss.

A Rosary will be held on Sunday, November 12 at 3:00 at English Funeral Chapel, in Post Falls. Services will be held at St George’s Catholic Church in Post Falls, ID on Monday, November 13th at 1:00, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery and a reception following.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Kootenai Humane Society P.O.Box 1005 Hayden, ID 83835 OR Orange County Family Justice Center 150 W. Vermont Ave. Anaheim, CA 92805.
