Glen Charles "Chuck" Anderson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chuck Anderson on August 22, 2024. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he touched the lives of many with his unwavering faith, generosity, love and friendship.

Born on August 2nd 1943 in Tacoma Washington. Chuck was the son of Glen Anderson and Taimi Alma Dreyer. He grew up with a deep sense of compassion and responsibility, values that would shape the course of his life.

Chuck built his business from the ground up, not just as a means to support his family, but also as a way to give back to the community.

Beyond his professional achievements, Chuck was a pillar of strength, faith and encouragement in his community. He supported an orphanage in India, always driven by a profound love for Jesus and a desire to serve others. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all that he did.

As a family person, Chuck was a source of endless love and inspiration. His wife, Susan Anderson was his steadfast companion and the love of his life. Together, they supported numerous children through private Christian education, supported hundreds of orphans overseas, held countless Bible studies and prayer groups in their home. They were hometown missionaries who encouraged and inspired many to follow Christ. Together they put Jesus at the forefront of their marriage. They married young and spent 60 long years growing up together. High school sweethearts who had a rocky beginning but hand in hand they finished strong. 

Chuck was also a proud father to Kelly Sailas (Deon) and Kristin Edwards (Paul). He loved his daughters deeply and was committed to the sacrifices it took in sending them all the way through Adventist academy. Generosity and faith defined every aspect of his life. He took great pride in his grandchildren, Katie Ellefloot (Jason), Camden and Keaton Edwards, and adored his great grandsons Leighton, Monroe, and Sumner Ellefloot. He found immense joy in the accomplishments and happiness of his loved ones.

Chuck’s legacy is one of faith, giving, and service. He leaves behind a community forever touched by his generosity, charm and charisma, a family deeply grateful for his sacrifices, leadership and love, and a world that is better because he was in it.

Chuck is survived by his wife Susie, his daughters Kelly and Kristin, his grandchildren, Katie, Camden, and Keaton, as well as his great grandchildren Leighton, Monroe, and Sumner and brother Andy. He was predeceased by His Mother Taimi Alma, Father Glen, youngest brother Curtis, and elder brother Clint.

A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held on 9/6/2024 at the Coeur d’Alene Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Upper Columbia Academy or Lake City Academy in Chuck Anderson’s memory. They were both dear to his heart. 

Chuck will be remembered for his gift with reaching people and loving them where they’re at. His strength, compassion, and the boundless love he shared with all who knew him. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
