Greta Nelson

Greta “Maxine” Nelson was born on January 4, 1928, in Cove, AK., She went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2018 at the Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L Nelson (2006), daughter and son in law, Charlene (2015) and Wally McKinnon (2017), sisters, Eldean and Laura, brothers, Wayne and Tracy and two granddaughters. She is survived by daughter, Newtie M. Moore (Mike) of Spokane Valley, WA, granddaughters: Cheri McKinnon of Wallace, ID, Ronda Jones (Andy) of Spokane Valley, WA., Brenda Kraack (Gary) of Post Falls, ID and Paul Stromberg of Kihei, Maui, 9 great grandchildren and eleven great, great grandchildren.

Maxine volunteered at the Post Falls Food Bank for 12 years for a total of more than 7100 hours. The Food Bank was her second family. She was an inspiration to all who worked with her. She had an exceptional work ethic.

Maxine enjoyed playing cards with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino with the other seniors in Post Falls.

A celebration of her life will be held on August 19, 2018 at Q’emilin Park, 12201 W. Parkway Dr., Post Falls, ID from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at the pavilion.
