Always remembered, never forgotten

Our beloved father, husband and friend Harry Schill passed away on 3-5-22 at age 82 after a brief illness. Harry was a loyal and caring man known for his kindness to all. He is survived by his loving wife Janet of 34 years, daughter Karen Preston and husband Albert of Petaluma, California, daughter Ingrid Hassold and partner Dan Wyrick of Post Falls, Idaho, daughter Kasey Stafford and husband Brian of Buffalo, Missouri, sisters Gertrude Bublies of Portland, Oregon and Brigitte Dysart of Bend, Oregon., and grandchildren Christopher Luff (Justine), Marissa Brown (Connor), Christian Howe (Lyndsey), Jessica Potter and Spencer Wyrick as well as 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Reinhold and Hulda and his brothers Alvin and Ernst.
His family originated from a country formally known as Bessarabia and migrated to the US in 1955. Harry served in the US Army from 1958 – 1960 and was stationed in Germany. He retired from Brinks after over 30 years of service. In 1976, Harry received a kidney from sister Brigitte and was one of the longest surviving kidney transplant recipients. His proudest achievement was bowling a perfect 300 game in the mid-80’s which earned him the nickname Schill the Thrill.
