Mom worked in housekeeping for many years at the Talk of the Town Motel. and then at Kootenai Memorial (Kootenai Health). She retired from the hospital in her early 70's where she was loved by the obstetrical nurses for not only her attention to detail, but the friendships that she had made. In 1976 she married Leo (Bill) Pedey, they were inseparable! She lost Bill that same year, and will be laid to rest with her beloved Bill.
She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and couldn't wait for spring to get out in her gardens. Mom also loved music, teaching herself at a young age to play the piano, organ, accordion and violin. She was talented at making a multitude of crafts. She was a baker, making cakes including elaborate wedding cakes, breads, cookies, candy and caramel corn. Her pecan tarts were a special treat. She loved company and visiting, those that stopped by were rewarded with her homemade goodies. The grandchildren were often blessed with being able to assist with the baking of those special treats. She never had a desire to drive and enjoyed walking but never turned down an opportunity to go for a ride looking at scenery. Mom loved to travel, making trips to visit family and friends to Florida, Texas, Oregon, Nevada and Minnesota. Her greatest joy was spending time with family near and far.
