Jack Dean Iverson

Jack Iverson, 85 was born on September 13 1939, in Clark, South Dakota. He passed peacefully on February 25, 2025 at Generations Memory Care after a courageous fight with Dementia and Heart Issues.

His family moved from Clark to Coeur d’ Alene, ID where he graduated in 1957. While attending CDA high school he was an auctioneer with the family business. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy for 3 years excelling in the electronics and radar maintenance fields.

After the military Jack was employed by Boeing where he met his love Ethel Erdman. They were married on June 23, 1962 for 54 years until her passing in May of 2017.

Later they moved to California to pursue the electronics field with TRW Systems. He had the privilege of working on a project called “Pioneer Jupiter” which was the forerunner to Voyager 1, which is still in service today traveling beyond our solar system.

During this time his family grew with of birth his child, Theresa. But California was not an environment he enjoyed so they moved back to Coeur d’Alene, ID in 1973 to help run the family business, Iverson’s Furniture, with his parents and brother Charlie for 26 years until his retirement.

He was an avid outdoorsman often going camping, hunting, fishing, and especially horseback riding. An annual event called “Gentlemen on horseback”, was something he looked forward to every year. In his later years he became involved with his church and bible study group called “BSF”.

Jack is survived by his daughter Theresa Bowles and son-in-law (Cory), grandson Riley (Bowles), daughter-in-law Samantha, great grandchildren Jackson and Blake, his brother Charlie (Iverson) and sister-in-law Bonnie (Iverson), and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Ethel, father and mother (Clifford and Thelma), sister (Jan Hannick), brothers Bradley, Martin and Marlan (Iverson).

Services will be held at Hayden Bible Church locate at 290 E Miles Ave., Hayden Lake, ID on April 4th at 1:00 pm.
