James Lowery

James Harold Lowery of Hayden, Idaho, left this world on October 16, 2016 at the age of 83. James was born February 13, 1933 in Collins, Mississippi to James Frank and Willie Lou Lowery. He graduated from Collins High School, attended Jones County Junior College, Ole Miss and Mississippi State University from which he had a football scholarship. James served in the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve, and served in the ROTC. He worked for 10 years at the Masonite Corporation in Laurel, MS, then worked in the construction industry for 22 years in Bakersfield, California, where he retired in 1991 from Local 220. In 1997, he and his wife Sara moved to Hayden, Idaho.

James is survived by his wife, Sara Nell Lowery and two married children, Michael and Jill Lowery, and Gregory and Candace Butler, along with seven grandchildren and their spouses, Taylor and Ruth Lowery, Hannah and Mike Gleim, Matthew and Amy Lowery, Loren Butler, Samantha Butler, Alex Lowery, and Henry Lowery, as well as his brother and his wife, John T. and Diane Lowery, his sister and her husband Betty Frank and Patrick Pickering, along with many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his brother Carl Joe Lowery and his son Joseph Kent Lowery.

A memorial service for James will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 28th at the English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
