James Edwin Morgan
September 13, 1946 - March 14, 2025
Jim was born in San Diego, CA and raised in Hayward,CA. He graduated from Tennyson High School in Hayward and joined the United States Navy. While serving in the Navy he met his wife Asuncion in the Philippines. It was a whirlwind romance. They met on his birthday in 1967 and wed two weeks later. They were married for 57 years. Once out of the Navy Jim and Asun lived in Browns Valley, CA and had two children. In 1976 they moved to Bakersfield CA. Jim was a welder and welding inspector until retirement. He was very active with the boy scouts for many years. He loved the outdoors, boating and fishing. He lead our family on many adventures, four wheeling, camping, hiking and traveling. Once retired Jim and Asun spent summers at Grant Lake where they made many life-long friends. In 2021 they left California and spent the last few years in Idaho enjoying time with their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Jim passed away in his sleep March 14th and is now at peace with his angel son, mother and father Rose & Ray Morgan and brother Clint Morgan.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Asuncion Morgan, son Robert Morgan, daughter and son-in-law, Gina & Jim Ramsey, grandsons and wives, James Lee & Danielle Ramsey and Matthew & Katlyn Ramsey, granddaughters, Kaitlyn Ramsey and Brianna Ramsey, 5 great-grandchildren, and Aunt Arlene from Texas.
He will always be remembered, loved, and missed.
