Janice Ann Curtis, 68, went into the arms of Jesus on August 5, 2018, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. She was born April 21, 1950, to John and Esther (Brooks) Kirchner, in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. As the youngest of nine, Janice grew up in Post Falls, graduating from Post Falls High School in 1968. She met the love of her life, Gary Curtis, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where they were married on June 7, 1969.
Janice loved God and her family, with a heart for serving others. As a mother, she instilled confidence to accept challenges and excel. As a retailer, she took pride in helping others find that elusive item. As a pastor's wife, she found unique ways to connect with those she met. As a pianist, she used 88 keys to unlock the hearts of anyone who listened.
Janice is survived by her son Don (Tiffany) Curtis of Meridian Idaho; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary; her parents (John and Esther); and her four brothers (William, David, Richard, Kenny) and four sisters (Pearl, Norma, Betty, and Donna).
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, on August 10, where she will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, in Post Falls, Idaho.
A special thank you to the caring staff at Kootenai Health (Coeur ‘d Alene) and Hospice North Idaho Schneidmiller House (Coeur d' Alene).
