Jay Belnap
Jay L. Belnap passed away on August 26, 2018, at home with his family after a short illness.
Jay was born in Blackfoot, Idaho. He grew up in Bozeman, Mont., and graduated from Bozeman High School. He moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in the late 1970s.
He worked for the school district as a bus driver for a short time. He was self employed installing floor covering until 2006, when he went to work for Great Floors until his illness.
Jay enjoyed woodworking and fixing things; he knew how to fix anything. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He was preceded in death by his dad and brother, Pat. Jay is survived by his wife, Sandy Belnap; his children, Heather (Juan) Barajas, Heidi Crump, Jeremy Belnap, Joni (Guy) Thompson, Stacey (Robin) Whitesell and Jeremy (Lesa) Dionne; grandchildren, Jacob (McKenna), Cortney (Larry), Bri (Colton), Justin, Jaylyn, Delia, Rilee, Hailey, Evan, Brayden and Maya; great-grandchildren, Brynlie, Mason, Scott, Charlotte, Evelyn and Kole; his mother, Zeta Weaver; his brothers, Gary Belnap, Mike Davis, Dee Belnap, Kim Belnap and Bruce Belnap.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 in the afternoon on Sunday Sept. 2, 2018, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.
