Jennie Cordova Lujan October 22, 1929 – July 25, 2018

Our loving mother passed over to our heavenly father, peacefully in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 88. She had a very big heart and it was always open to anyone she knew. Her love for all her children showed in everything that she did. Mom was a wonderful cook, everyone who knew her were overjoyed when she would make her special dishes. She loved taking care of anyone that graced her home and she was never selfish to feed even a stranger. Always crocheting and making tons of afghans and blankets for her children, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Mom really loved her garden, she would spend hours outside with her flowers.

She was born October 22, 1929 in Mora, New Mexico to Adella Gandhert and Filimon Cordova. They later moved to Utah. She married Eutimio Maestas and they had 8 children and later divorced. She then married Willie Lujan and had 3 children together. They left the Utah area to settle down and retire in the beautiful resort town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Mom was preceded in death by her mother and father, 2 sisters, Nettie Cordova Lopez, Lourdes Cordova Medina and 2 brothers, Carlos Cordova and Cipriano Cordova. We know what the Resurrection is—the reuniting of the spirit and body in its perfect form. When we are resurrected, “this mortal body is raised to an immortal body. … [We] can die no more. Mom, you are at rest now and with our Lord. We will once again be together. You are always in our hearts and in our minds.
