Jimmie David Huber

Born: March 2, 1939, in Kellogg, Idaho Passed: September 2, 2024, in Kellogg, Idaho

Jim’s early years started in Cataldo on the family homestead but eventually he grew up in Post Falls with his family. He graduated from Post Falls High School in 1957. Jim served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and later joined the Washington Air National Guard, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He also dedicated his skills as a Civil servant for the 242nd Air Traffic Control Flight. Jim enjoyed deep sea fishing, despite occasionally getting seasick, and he loved hunting with family and friends. His favorite moments were spent around a campfire, sharing stories.

Jim was a committed school board trustee member for the Post Falls School District, where he was honored to serve his community. He served as a 4-H Leader during his children’s younger years, and he enjoyed teaching and mentoring young people. Jim was a proud Grandpa and Great-Grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father Julius, mother Erma, brothers Dennis and Daniel, and his son Jeff. He is survived by his brother Dick and his wife Frankie, his son Mark and his wife Rhonda, and his daughter Julie and her husband Jim. His grandsons, Avery, Austin, Evan and William, step grandchildren Nick and Rose and great-grandchildren Brylie, Cylas, Nora, Ryker and Julius.
