Joanne Kathleen Haugen, resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died March 15, 2017, at Ivy Court in Coeur d’Alene. Joanne was born April 24, 1935, in Faribault, Minn., to Adolph and Sarah (Piepho) Luebke.
She married Joseph Haugen on Sept. 2, 1955, in Faribault. In 1968, they moved from Lakeville, Minn., to Coeur d’Alene. Joanne worked as a secretary for more than 40 years with the University of Idaho Kootenai County Extension Office here in Coeur d’Alene. She and her husband, Joe, are members of Christ the King Lutheran Church.
Joanne enjoyed family and sewing, was passionate about 4-H programs and served as a judge for several years at their annual style shows. She also worked closely with the master gardeners.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joe; son and daughter-in-law Brian J. and Cindy Haugen of Hayden, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law Marna J. and Bob Bedford of St. Paul, Minn.; grandchildren Travis Haugen of Coeur d’Alene, Tyler Haugen of Seattle, Wash., Lacie and husband Cody Fetcho of Kennewick, Wash., Emily Bedford of St. Paul and Lindsey Bedford of Madison, Wis.; great-grandchildren Hailey Hawkins and MacKenzie Fetcho.

Memorial service for Joanne will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene.
