John Caracciolo

Our beloved Husband, Father, Papa and friend to many, John Rocco Caracciolo, 68, of Hayden, Idaho passed away on June 10, 2016. John was born in Brooklyn, NY, October 10, 1947, to Ida Saullo and Santo “Sammy” Caracciolo.

John grew up in Brooklyn, NY. When he was 19 he moved to Florida, where he met the love of his life, Bernice “Bea” Beene. They were married on October 10, 1969. They had 2 daughters, Deborah and Christina.

He loved going for walks with his dog, Roxie. He loved watching boxing. He loved to cook large Italian meals and share with his family, neighbors and friends. It brought him pure joy. He loved people – he wanted to help anyone in need and was more than willing to give the shirt off his back or his last dollar. He was the most generous man. He loved the Lord so much and was so grateful for all the Lord had done in his life. In the last several years of his life he would spend hours each day texting Christian devotionals and scripture to his many friends, family and some people he hardly knew. He wanted to start a Bible study in the little community he lived in, and asked his daughter to order the Bible study curriculum on his last day he was alive.

More than anything on this earth, he loved his family. They were so important to him. He loved his grandchildren, Ashley and Bri Sweningson, Lauren and Brandon Goold. He loved whenever the family was together. He enjoyed daily visits with his next-door neighbor, Jack, as well as all of the other neighbors. He attended The Altar Church for many years. He loved and adored Pastor Tim Remington, Pastor John and Pastor Curt as well as the rest of the congregation. They were always there in every time of need and showed him God’s love.

He is survived by his wife his wife, Bea; his children, Deborah (Mark) Nay, Christina (Martin) Goold; his grandchildren, Lauren and Brandon Goold, Ashley and Bri Sweningson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Sammie Caracciolo.

Although he fought through many trials and tribulation, he won the battle and is now in the presence of Jesus. God is great!

English Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. A service remembering his life will be held at The Altar Church on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:30 am, followed with a reception and graveside service.
