Troy Charles Meyer

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Troy C Meyer of Nine Mile Falls, WA. Troy passed away at his home following a brief battle with cancer. He was attended at death by his wife April plus his best friend of 55 years, David Engan, and David’s wife Brenda. 

 Troy is survived by his wife April, His parents Ardis Meyer(Tom Miller) and Roy Meyer, his sister Heidi Stensland(Dave Jacobs) plus her two sons Tyler Stensland and Jesse Jacobs, His Daughter Karlie Meyer(Kyle) plus her children Harriett and Hendrix, his daughter Kinzie Boston(Trevor), plus her children Elizabeth and Penelope. Troy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cecil and Harriett Meyer and his maternal grandparents Oliver and Hazel Peterson and his nephew Gary Thomas.

Troy was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on October 22, 1964 to Roy and Ardis Meyer. Troy was raised in Post Falls, ID and after graduating from Post Falls High School he attended North Idaho College. Throughout his early life Troy was a gifted athlete in baseball, football and basketball as well as an avid sports fan. Troy was employed for over thirty years as a construction site superintendent for Malcom Drilling Company. He had a great relationship with Malcom as well as the people he worked with and enjoyed his work immensely. He was honored to be selected as Top Superintendent eight consecutive years. 

 Troy loved his family and his life every step of the way. Troy was an honest man with integrity who genuinely cared for others. He was liked by all who knew him.

The number “22” accompanied Troy throughout his life with him being born on the 22nd, donning “22” on all of his sports jerseys, having a daughter born on the 22nd, having a grandchild born on the 22nd and finally passing away on the 22nd.

 Troy will have no more tomorrows but his family and friends will have special memories of their times with him. May Troy’s final journey be as meaningful and as memorable as the life he lived. 

 A memorial service for Troy will be held at the English Funeral Home at 1700 N Spokane ST in Post Falls, ID on January 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
