Juanita E. (Krell) Saterfiel 90, passed away peacefully with family at her side on March 8, 2018 at
Creekside Assisted Living.
Juanita was born, with her twin sister, June 12, 1927, in Latah Washington, to Milton and Alma (Reyser) Krell. She met her handsome love, Albert Saterfiel, in Spokane Washington and they married Nov. 2, 1946. They moved to Mississippi, Al’s home, from 1947-1948, to Tekoa, Wash., until 1961, then to Dalton Gardens, Idaho. Between 1945-1966 they owned and operated Standard Oil service stations in Tekoa and then on East Sherman in Coeur d’Alene. She also worked as a waitress for Chuck Wagon. Juanita resided in the family home until September 2014. Juanita and Al raised two sons Ronald and Roger.
Juanita enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, and many arts and crafts however her true love was gardening with Al. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert Saterfiel, twin sister Bernita Parker, sisters Marceen Parker, Doris Moy, and Thelma Johnson, brother Gene Krell.
Survivors include her sons Ronald L. Sr. (Selma) Saterfiel, Coeur d’Alene, Roger (Stephanie) Saterfiel, Hayden: grandchildren Ron Jr, and Claudia Saterfiel, Addison and Michelle Saterfiel, Brandi and Michael Vanderpool, Trisha Saterfiel: great grandsons, Ronald III (Lee) Saterfiel, and Timothy Saterfiel: Great-Great Grandson Charles Albert Saterfiel: Sisters Delores Young and Geraldine Krell.
A Celebration of Life will be 11-2 Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Lake City Center 1916 N. Lakewood Dr. Coeur d’Alene.
The family wishes to thank Creekside Assisted Living for their wonderful love and care. Also Hospice of North Idaho, who made this departure easier for Juanita and the family. Family asks that in lieu of flowers to make a donation in Juanita’s name to Hospice of North Idaho.
