Judy Johnson

Judy Virginia Johnson, 70, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away in the comfort of her home on June 26, 2017 as a result of complications due to Alzheimer’s. She was lovingly cared for by her husband Jerry and her devoted caretakers. Judy is the beloved wife of Jerry Johnson; the mother of Sarah, Ian, Greg, and J.R. She is also the grandmother of 12, a great-grandmother of two, a teacher, and a loved friend.

Judy was born on October 14, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Thomas and Georgia Bartlett. She grew up in Colorado and graduated Valedictorian of her high school class. Judy then went on to graduate from Stanford University. She was a school teacher for many years in the Rathdrum area. She had a great love for tennis, reading, traveling, and the great outdoors.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry; her two sisters: Joyce Whitmore and Joni Bartlett; her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Rosary will be held for Judy on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 5:00 pm at English Funeral Chapel at 1133 N. 4th Street in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 12:00 pm at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at 812 W. McCartney Street in Rathdrum, Idaho. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
