Katherine Jean Campbell (Brewer), 71, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Schneidmiller House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Kathy was born at Providence Hospital on December 28, 1945 in Wallace Idaho to Hubert Glen and Inola “Ernestine” Brewer. She was the 10th of 12 children. After graduating from Wallace High School in 1964 she attended one year at the University of Idaho.

In December of 1965, she married Harold N. Campbell, also of Wallace, at the Hitching Post in Coeur d’Alene. Harold enlisted in the Army which took them to New Jersey for a time, and then to Oklahoma where their first child was born. They moved back to Wallace and had two more children. They divorced in 1986.

While raising her children she was active in Campfire - leading both her girls’ clubs - and Shoshone Humane Society. Her heart and home were always open to animals in need. She enjoyed all levels of crafting, painting, nature and spending time with friends.

She is survived by three children: daughter Melissa Campbell of Republic, WA; son Jon Campbell Of Post Falls, ID; daughter Debbie Manning and her husband Joe of Iowa City, IA; two grandchildren Owen and Chloe of Iowa City; Sisters: Dorothy Loewen of Butte, MT; Deanna Hauser of Liberty Lake, WA; and Darlene Panther of Richland, WA; Brother: Walt Brewer of Medical Lake, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Ruth, Vita, Hubert Junior, Merle, Fred, Victor, and Laura.

At her request, there will be no services. Her ashes will be scattered at one of her favorite locations at a later date with family present.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Schneidmiller House or your local animal shelter.
