Katherine (Kathy) Colleen Anstine passed away unexpectedly on February 22, 2021 at the age of 64.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard Elmer Anstine (Ike) who passed away on February 4, 2021. She is survived by her mother Juanita Anstine, brother Richard A. Anstine (Delraya), various aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, and cousins.
Kathy was born on May 28, 1956 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She attended CdA High school. Kathy lived in various places over her lifetime and spent a great deal of time in Alaska where she did many jobs such as working as a truck driver, bartender, construction worker and also worked in the oil fields.
She ended up back in her hometown where she resided with her mother, and later her father.
She dearly loved her family and her dog Shilo, and had several close friends. Much of her life was extremely difficult and challenging, especially after she needed to have her left leg amputated.
Many high school friends have fond memories of her, expressing that she was loved like a sister and had many great qualities; she was fun, wild and fashionable and could always make people laugh.
English Funeral Home will be in charge of her cremation. No services will be held at this time. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date in combination with her father’s. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CdA Union Gospel Mission.
