Linda Michelle Anderson, 56, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed peacefully on August 31, 2024. She is survived by her sister Kim and her dad, Larry, and preceded to heaven by her mother, Ethel.
Linda was fixture in Coeur d’Alene, after moving from Madera, CA, and was frequently seen riding her bicycle around town running errands, going to school (where she took classes in nursing), and visiting with the people she loved.
She was a lifelong learner, following book lists and was a fan of the Oprah Book Club, reading many of those suggestions. She also enjoyed learning about other countries, their cultures, and their foods. She loved great food and as an adventurous eater, would try new things any time she could, waited anxiously for new restaurants to open when she would hear about them and shared these findings and knowledge willingly and generously. She enjoyed meeting new people and volunteered for Ironman every year, as well as the Lake City Playhouse.
She was known as the "cookie lady" to her sister's dogs who would cry excitedly any time they saw her riding her bicycle down the street and she would not disappoint them, finding only the best organic treats to give to them!
She enjoyed being with family on special occasions, exchanging gifts on Christmas, birthdays, and also weddings when she could pick personal cards and gifts for family and it delighted her to be part of those occasions. The holidays will not be the same without her joyous spirit!
Linda was a bright light in this dark world and a blessing to my life and will be deeply missed. I could not have asked for a better sister. A private gathering will be held at a later date to be determined.
