Loretta Joyce (Catalano) Day Trumbower passed away after a long battle with multiple health issues on August 25, 2017. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 26, 1934. She was one of four sisters, Roberta, Loretta, Jeannie and Charlene born to John and Cecilia Catalano. She was married to Glenn Alwin Day of Twinsburg, Ohio in 1956. Glenn passed away from cancer in 1960. They had one son, Gary Allen Day. Loretta and Gary along with Loretta's sister, Charlene moved to Sunnyvale, California in 1963 where she met Royce Junior Trumbower. They were married on July 22, 1967 and moved to Cupertino, California. After living in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and Vancouver, British Columbia following Royce's assignments as an Engineer and Project Manager with Lockheed Corp. they settled back into their home in Cupertino in 1977 following Royce's retirement. For years they volunteered for the local library organizing book sales. They enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to Hawaii and playing bingo. They looked forward to spending time with their bingo friends each week. For health reasons, they moved to North Idaho to be closer to family. Royce passed away in 2011. Loretta filled her days with the companionship of her dogs. She loved a good cup of tea and always had the television on. She would never miss a day of "The Price is Right" or an episode of "Criminal Minds." She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and her sister Jeannie. She is survived by her sisters, Roberta and Charlene, her son Gary and his wife Marcey along with their children James and his wife Nicole and sons Allen and David; Matthew and his wife Alyssa with son Luke Ferguson and daughter Eden; Timothy; and daughter Joy Staaben and her husband Corbin.
