Lyman joined the United States Navy in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1946. Lyman married the love of his life, Sunny, in 1973. He joined The San Bernardino Police department becoming a patrolman, where he contracted Polio. He spent 37 days in an Iron Lung, but survived to rejoin the police department. He then went on to become a California Highway Patrol Motor SGT., then an investigator for California Health Services. Lyman finished his career as a Bureau Chief for California Department of Justice. Lyman and Sunny moved to Coeur d' Alene in 1995. Lyman's interest were family, football, flying airplanes, shopping for tools, rebuilding every home he lived in! Mercedes Club, making greeting cards, and ICE CREAM! Lyman is survived by his wife Sunny Lambeth, daughters, Gayle (Dale) Palmer, Susan (Steve) McIntire, Sandy (Dennis) Mader, and Alison Smith. Grandchildren, Rob, Scott, Jeff, Chris, Brian, Neal, Caitline and several great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be scheduled for a future date.
