Margaret Ann (Bagley-Alltus) Boyd

Margaret Ann (Bagley-Alltus) Boyd was incredibly beloved. She took her first breath on 3/9/54, and breathed out her last on 3/12/25, after an unexpected and tragic event that allowed her organs to be donated to prolong the lives of others, just as her youngest sister’s life had been decades ago. We knew how good we had it and her departure leaves a gaping hole in all of our lives.

Margaret was fun and energetic and generous, and she loved everything beautiful, especially flowers. Margaret followed Jesus for nearly her entire life. She had a profound experience with God years ago that she would describe as having provided a total sense of peace and acceptance, and we are comforted by the knowledge that she is now experiencing that more fully.

Margaret grew up in Ceres, CA and moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in her late 20’s before her kids were born. She worked as a florist and for the USPS at various times (when she wasn’t home with her kids full-time). We’d give anything to hear just one more “love you dearly,” “it’s artistic,” or even a “sorry sorry!” from her.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Boyd, her children Lindsey (Louis) Swingrover and Ryan (Whitney) Alltus, stepsons Bobby (Mikayla) Boyd and Cody Boyd, grandchildren Soren, Charlee, Bella, Ezra, Hadley, Elise, McKenna, and Lane, as well as one she couldn’t wait to meet this summer, and her sisters Linda Sheikewitz and Meryl (Ken) Yant, cousins, nieces and nephews, and too many friends to tally.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, at Anthem Hayden, beginning at 11am and followed by a reception.
