Marilyn Jane Peck
(Age 89)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday November 17, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Jane was born August 23, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to Max and Ruth Rothman (Youngman). The family lived in Brooklyn and moved to Los Angeles where Jane attended and graduated from Washington High School. Jane worked for Pacific Telephone Company and met the love of her life Donald Peck. They were married May 12, 1951 in Los Angeles and moved to Palmdale, CA in 1963 where they raised their 3 children. Family summers were spent on cross country trips to Iowa, always using a different route each year. After Donald's retirement they also lived in Carson City, NV, Hayden Lake, ID, Apache Junction and Mesa, AZ. Don and Jane thoroughly enjoyed retirement through dancing and their many travels to Europe and the Caribbean. In 2001 Don and Jane celebrated their 50th anniversary by inviting their grown children on a European vacation including a cruise down the Rhine River. After Donald's death in 2006 Jane also lived in Auburn, CA and Spokane, WA. Jane will always be remembered for her loving kind spirit and her wonderful sense of humor. Jane always saw the good in people and loved to meet new friends. She loved to play cards, enjoyed all animals and her favorite meal was always dessert, especially anything with chocolate. She is survived by her children: Gary (Anne) Peck of San Francisco, CA, Nancy (Ira) Taylor of Auburn, CA and Daniel Peck of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael (Valerie) Peck, Elizabeth Peck, Carrie Taylor, Trevor Peck, David Peck, Justin (Tiffany) Peck, Brittney (Mike) Mortlock and 11 great grandchildren.
