Marjorie Jeanette Powers, 91, passed away at her home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on March 28, 2017. Marge was born May 2, 1925 in Superior, Wisconsin to John and Edna Brenner. She has lived in the Coeur d’Alene area for 50+ years.

Marge worked as an Administrative Assistant for GTE Phone Company for 35 years. She was active at Christ the King Lutheran Church, and enjoyed spending time knitting and crocheting. She was an active member of the local spinning and quilting guilds in the area for many years. One of her favorite things to do was volunteer in the Hospice of North Idaho thrift store and attend the Sr Care Program at Kootenai Health. Above all Marge especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Marge is survived by: her daughter, Ardell (Ken) Parkin; sons: Stephen (Bev) and Bryan (Vivian) Powers; grandchildren: Dennis (Kristy) Parkin, Paula (Lynn) Woods, Brett Powers (Morgan McKitrick), Matt (Kristin) Powers; Great-Grandchildren: Cory (Tarah) Tanner, Curtis Tanner, Shannel(Cody) Capaul, Bryauna (Nick) Hoertz, Kambrya and DaynePowers, and Ryder Benca; and Great-Great-Grandchildren: Jackson and Jett Tanner and soon Sawyer Capaul.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Milton “Mike” Powers, and her grandson, John Heath Parkin.

A Memorial Service will be held for Marge on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 11:00 am at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
