Mildred Welsh

Mildred D. ‘Darlene’ Welsh, 81

Darlene passed away March 8, 2017, in Post Falls, Idaho. She was born in Custer, S.D., on Aug. 1, 1935, to Lloyd and Mildred (Hill) Coe. She moved to Mullan, Idaho, when she was a child, as her father worked in the mines.

Darlene had the true pioneer work ethic. She worked a variety of jobs, including AT&T for more than 15 years before retiring in 1995. Darlene attended various churches including Falls Full Gospel and Life Way Chapel.

She is survived by her children, Joanne (David) Nelson and Robert Welsh; grandchildren Dylan, Jerry, Erika (Ben) Friederichs, Joshua (Ginger) Cantamessa, Erin (Ryan) Ault and Jeremy (Heather) Cantamessa; brothers Gary (Marge) Coe and David (Janice) Coe; sister Betty Maki and numerous great-grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; sons Gerald and Edward Welsh; brothers Alden and Merle Coe; and sister Shirley Griner.

No services will be held. Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
