1925 – 2016

Park was born in Portland, Ore., Nov. 5, 1925, and died peacefully June 8, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Park married Anna Blackmore on July 23, 1949, in Cottage Grove, Ore.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years; two sons, Ken and Kittie Hartzell of Spokane, Wash., and Jerry and Betty Hartzell of Lebanon, Mo.; daughter Judy and Larry Frost of Hardeeville, S.C.; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Park served in the Navy during World War II. He took his basic training at Farragut Naval Camp. Park retired from Idaho Veneer Co. in 1990. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to The American Cancer Center, P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
