Rae Ann Hoard

Rae Ann Hoard passed away peacefully October 10, 2023 surrounded by loving family. She was 73 years old and a resident of Coeur d'Alene.

 

Rae was born April 1, 1950 in Van Nuys, CA to Joe DeLosSantos and Alice DeLosSantos. She graduated Simi Valley High School, in Simi Valley, CA in 1968 before working at Deluxe Check Printers in Chatsworth, CA for many years. Rae also worked at the UPS Store in Coeur d'Alene for a short time before retiring to be a full-time homemaker. Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were her life. She would do anything for her family. She loved family, singing, and dancing the "Hula Hula" and dabbing pose. She was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. She would open her home without a second thought. Never late unless she was on time and someone you could always count on no matter what. She was a Loving, Kind, Fun, Innocent, One-of-a-kind woman with a beautiful heart who will be deeply missed. We love you! 

 

Rae Hoard is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Thomas Hoard Sr, sons Thomas Hoard II and Dan Hoard, daughter Tracie Volkmar, brothers Mike DeLosSantos and Joe Santos, Grandchildren Tia Hoard, Thomas Hoard III, Tiffany Hoard, Travis Hoard, Crystal Hoard, Dylan Hoard, Anthony Francis and JJ Rae Volkmar, Great-Grandchildren LIllian Jones, and Zachary Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Laura Lindamood.

The family takes comfort knowing Rae is pain free and with the Lord in Paradise. May God bless and keep her. She is loved more than can be adequately expressed with words. The family will continue their walk on this earth with the Love, Laughter, and Memories for guidance until they are reunited again.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to charities of your choice in the battle to fight cancer.

 

At the family's request there will be no celebration of life at this time.
