Ragna Fithen

Ragna O. Fithen, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Dec. 13, 2016. She was born Dec. 14, 1938, in Newport, Wash., to Ole and Irene Stone. Ragna grew up on a beautiful family farm in Blanchard, Idaho. She was loved by all for her big heart, sense of humor and her feisty ways.

In the summer, you would find her working hard, tending to her beautiful flower beds and vegetable garden. When her work was done, she would enjoy a nice cold beer. Ragna had a soft heart for all animals, and it seemed as if a stray animal needed help, it would find its way to her. She loved to go for a drive to pick huckleberries, and was very proud of her beautiful carnival glass and jewelry. Ragna adored her family, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She so enjoyed visiting with her longtime friend, Leora.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerry Fithen; son Tye; sister Louise; and brothers Ralph, Hubert and Herbert. Ragna is survived by her brother, Orland (Marge); sisters Marjorie (Gene) Carole (Bob); children Mike (Debbie), Traci (Phil) and Russell; grandchildren Allen, Ole, Afton, Ragna and Taylor; great-grandchildren Kahner, Tanner, Tatiana, Nahia, Boston, Hyson, True, Valentina and Isabella; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Ragna was loved by all who met her, so full of soul, spunk and heart. Her wisdom will last lifetimes and be held dearly by her loved ones.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls, with a reception to follow.
