Reimer (Ray) Von Sprecken
August 14, 1924 - April 30, 2019
94 years of age
Ray made his way home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2019. His wife Charlotte and daughters, Kim and Valerie, were by his side.
Ray was a US Naval Veteran who proudly served during WWII. His faith and family were the center of his life and he devoted himself to both. Ray loved to travel, square dance, entertain friends and family, and was always up for a good card game. Ray especially enjoyed long walks and gardening, a reflection of his love and appreciation for the beauty of the world God granted us.
Ray was born in Iowa to Gus & Lillian and was the oldest of three sons. He met the love of his life, Charlotte, and they were blessed with 62 wonderful years of marriage. Ray leaves behind his wife Charlotte, daughters Kim Allen (Paul) San Diego, CA, Valerie Taylor (Quintin) Rancho Cucamonga, CA, his 7 beloved grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brothers Don (Helen) Gardena, CA and Orvin (Jean) Hayden Lake, ID, and numerous family members and friends that will miss him so very much.
A celebration of life honoring Ray will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Coeur d’Alene, ID on May 18, 2019 at 11:00 am.
A military funeral honors ceremony will be held at his final resting place, Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, CA on May 31, 2019 at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lutherhaven Ministries, Coeur d’Alene, ID, or Christ the King Lutheran Church.
