Roger Dale Orr, born on September 16, 1948, in Bismarck, North Dakota, passed from this life on February 8, 2024, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. His life was a testament to the steadfast virtues of family, love, and the joy of music. Roger served in the U.S. Army on the Korean DMZ.
He found his life's companion in Kathryn, his college sweetheart, with whom he shared a bond of deep affection and mutual devotion. Her care was a source of great comfort to him throughout their later years together. He is survived by their daughter, Kimberly Evans, of Des Moines, WA.
He was raised in Coeur d'Alene with his sister, Patricia, and brothers, Bruce, Thomas and Terry Orr.
Roger's laughter was memorable, and he was a skilled carpenter. He crafted not only with his hands but with his heart, leaving a legacy of beauty and durability in his work.
As we bid farewell to Roger, we honor a life marked by genuine warmth, a love of laughter, and a dedication to craft. His memory will be held in high regard by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his influence will continue to be felt by those he leaves behind.
