Ronald Hust (Age 87)
Ron took his final flight on October 24, 2017 with his family at his side in close formation. Like with every challenge in his life, he approached his battle with cancer aggressively and optimistically. Ron was born in Evansville Indiana on June 18, 1930.
He retired from the Air Force in 1981, serving his country for 30 years, then went on to work at Boeing as the final quality assurance representative for United Airlines. Honesty, never quitting, and taking care of his family and friends were at the core of everything he did.
Flying and taking long road trips were his passions and he loved to hunt, fish, camp, and golf. He was a great mentor, helping many with their careers and personal lives. We will continue to seek his wisdom and sage advice by asking ourselves, “what would Ron do.”
Ron is survived by his wife (Dottie) of 65 years, daughter (Beverly), son (Jerry), grandchildren (Erika, Lauren, Colton and Chad) and great grandchildren (Hannah, Liam, and Gabrielle). We will be forever grateful to Hospice of North Idaho (www.honi.org) for their compassion and professionalism and ask that any donations be made to them.
