Rosamond Makely Holmes, 91

Rosamond Makely Holmes was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Pennsylvania. Growing up in California most of her youth, she had a love of sailing and the old missions. In 1972, she moved to Post Falls, Idaho, with her husband Dr. Thomas M. Holmes II and their only child, Thomas M. Holmes III, where she lived happily for the rest of her life.

She was most known in the community for her generosity and her kind and welcoming disposition. She was a very devoted Roman Catholic and very reverent in her faith. She leaves behind her son, Tom and his wife, Colleen; three grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Family meant everything to her and she will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Rosary will be 5:00 p.m. Thursday October 12, 2017, at the English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, ID. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday October 13, 2017, at Mount Saint Michael's, 8500 N. St. Michaels Rd., Spokane, WA 99217.
