Roy Runkle

Roy Donald Runkle of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away of natural causes on September 22, 2017 at 2:50 pm at age 96. He was a resident of Life Care at the time of his death.

Roy was born in Nibby, Montana to Enoch and Ruth Runkle and was one of eight children. He married Louise Behmerwohld on August 23, 1941 in Heron, Montana. They were happily married for 67 years, and were blessed with a daughter and two sons.

Most of his life, he worked as a truck driver and mechanic. Roy had a great work ethic which he passed on through his children and grandchildren.

Roy is survived by a sister, Dorothy Litzsinger; his children: Clyde Runkle (wife Lois Runkle), Sandra Brown, Gary Runkle (wife Barbara Runkle); nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and his wife.
